Add More Sense to Your Adsense Program - 18 Tips to Adsense Success

In my article “ Tips for earning through Adsense” I will show you in a very easy way how to earn maximum money through Google Adsense programme. It is assumed that you have read google adsense programme terms and conditions.

You have already visted the google adsense tips. In adsense programme advertisers pay when users click on ads and google will give you a portion of amount paid for clicks on google ads on your site. Google is as interested as you to perform better. I think you have already visited some sites about adsense tips but you are puzzled what to do exactly. Here you will get the summary of Adsense tips. I will mention here what is to be done point wise in a very few words. OK. Let us start earning through adsense quick tour.

1. Try to increase targeted traffic to your site by following the search engine optimization tips. More traffic means more income. Promote your blog in right way.

2. Write unique and relevant articles. Content should not be too small or too large.

3. Don’t modify google HTML code or don’t ask any body to click on it. Google may disable your adsense account.

4. First few lines are important to determine what type of ads will be advertised in your site. So concentrate on the first few lines very carefully.

5. Add google search box in the right hand upper corner. Generally people prefer to have the search box in their right hand side.

6. Use 336X280 large rectangle and 160X600 wide skyscraper ads(in the sidebar). Large rectangle is the best paying ad.

7. Prefer text ads. Text ads do better than image ads.

8. Use relevant color palettes. Colors which tend to blend into your content do better.

9. Place the ads just above the content or middle of the content. Because these are the prominent place and viewers use to navigate.

10. Always make sure that first ad unit is displayed in the best location.

I will post the remaining 8 tips in my next post tomorrow. So just get the best out of the above points while I post the Part II tomorrow. Enjoy with your Adsense!

Should You Use Adsense

I was reading up on Darren’s two posts: Why you SHOULD use Adsense and Why Adsense Might NOT be the Best and it brought a very good question to mind for me. I was sitting here trying to think up whether I wanted to continue using Adsense or if I was just wasting ad space and it was not going to do anything for me. And, I obviously read over his two posts and I began to realize that, for right now, Adsense is the right choice for my blog. For the moment, it is going to be the earner that allows this blog to pay its rent. But…Why else should do I opt to use it?

I’m not getting boat loads of traffic. I’m getting some, but I’m not getting much, so for me to sell private advertising is really not an option. That’s the big problem really. We use Adsense because it makes us some money but, we’d rather use private advertising because that makes us MORE. So, we’re in a bind because we want one thing, but can’t have it. Now, it brings up this point: Adsense can make money for anyone. And that’s the truth. No matter what niche you’re in, you’re going to make money from it so long as you have readers. That’s not the case so much for other niches.

The only thing that I don’t like is that my particular niche is, well, Adsense blind. They know it so well, they just don’t even see the ads, so they don’t ever click. That could be a big reason why a lot of ‘make money online’ blogs are trying to get away from Adsense. People are just becoming more and more aware to the fact that there are ads there. I never click ads and that’s because I am part of that ‘Adsense blind’ group. Most of my readers are probably that way as well. It sucks, but that’s the problem with Adsense.

Anyways…I believe this blog can grow with Adsense; however, I do look forward to the day when I can remove it because something more profitable comes along. However, if it is still the most profitable in a year, then it’s the most profitable in a year. What about you, though? Do you think that Adsense is right for your blog? Right for your niche? Or, do you think that there is something else out there that can make you more money? Leave a comment letting me know…I’d really like to know your opinions. I’ll write a follow up post with everyone’s comments and we can come to a general consensus over whether it’s a good idea or bad. Thanks.

Why I Earn Online!

Why do I earn online? That is a question that I get from time to time. Actually, the question that I get is, “why are you not being a normal person and getting a job rather than being a loser and earning online?” When will people realize that what I am doing is just taking a step to become a business man? Probably not for a long while, or, at least until people realize that there is a lot of money to be made on the web. So, what do I answer? “I earn on the web because I want to own my own businesses…And, because I can make money 24/7 while you can only get paid based on an hourly basis.” They look at me and then proceed to argue.

But, that brings up a very good point. Earning on the web is a very passive income. My blog is up 24/7 and someone can access it all the time and if they see an ad they like, they can click on it. What about someone who works at the grocery store? Can they make money 24/7? Of course not. They can only earn for the hours that they are given. And the funny thing is, they are making seven or eight bucks an hour. So…The big answer to your questions about why I earn online is because I can make money all the time while they can only make money sometimes.

Another reason why I never want to earn money at some job is because I hate to feel like my work is going for nothing. The truth is, I feel more motivated when it comes to my websites. I feel like if I don’t do a great job working on my websites, I won’t succeed. If I do a bad job at the grocery store or the bare minimum, I will still get paid so long as I don’t do anything foolish. Basically, I like to have control over my success. If I do amazing, I want to make money to show for it and not get a five cent raise. That’s why I earn online. Why do you earn online? What are your reasons for earning on the web?

Make Money Blogging Without Actually Blogging (Niche Blogs In Bulk)

Everyone talks about how blogging is hard work and that you need to be extremely dedicated in order to make a decent income from your blog. I definitely agree with that form of thinking if you are attempting to make one or two great blogs, and are spending all of your own time updating them. But what if you want to make 100 not-so-great (but not spam by any means) blogs that collectively make a nice income?

The secret to making money from these blogs (and any blog for that matter) is to really diversify your revenue streams. On average, one of these sites will probably bring in 10-100 uniques per day, so only having one form of advertising isn’t going to make enough money. You should include the following:

Text-Link-Ads - This is my second favorite (for these blogs) next to direct ads. For the first several months after getting accepted, you will probably only sell a couple links. Over time, however, you will likely have consistent sellout months, providing a very steady income source. You can also increase your revenue further by offering their post level ads. Most advertisers who purchase this inventory are only interested in getting backlinks, so your traffic and posting frequency won’t be an issue.

Google AdSense - Test it out and see if the revenue that it makes is worth it. I set a benchmark of $30/month. If the blog can’t get enough traffic to reach that level, I leave AdSense off.

Kontera ContentLink - These are pretty non-invasive and provide a nice trickle of income when used on multiple blogs. If you don’t have a large site to apply with, you will need to register under John Chow.

AuctionAds - This doesn’t usually work for me, but it is worth testing. Depending on your niche, it could provide a big chunk of the revenue.

ReviewMe / PayPerPost - Using these services would require some additional work because you have to actually write the posts, but if you are up to it, they can provide a large income boost.

Direct Ads - These are my favorite. I get a ton of advertising inquiries for text ads and other campaigns. The great part about direct ads is that once you develop the relationships, you can usually keep them going and possibly sell them advertising on other blogs in your network. Be creative and you can always find room for “one more advertiser”
Those 6 different monetization options should be more than enough to push your blog over the $100/month mark. Don’t worry about putting up too many ads, your number one priority at this point should be to generate revenue because you probably won’t have many (if any) loyal readers on these blogs. The posting frequency is just too low to build repeat visitors.
